TerraCycle have announced the closure of their medicine packet recycling scheme because they were overwhelmed with billions of medicine packets that people wanted to recycle. The scheme, that stopped 162 million items from ending up landfill, was sponsored by Sanofi and we need other pharmaceutical companies to provide funding and re-start the scheme to recycle the waste they produce.
