Local tree planting initiative included in #plantatreeforthejubilee

Deolinda Eltringham, our Membership Officer, has been actively  involved in the North Herts Inter Faith Forum's efforts to combat the effects of climate change by planting trees.

Since autumn 2021 they have been planting tress in a large field in Little Hadham as the first step in turning it into a “Peace” woodland, for community planting. NHIFF plan to open this land for communities and individuals to plant trees when marking special occasions such as births, marriages, graduations, death, anniversaries, and other special milestones.

They have recently heard that their Jubilee tree planting has been included in the #QueensGreenCanopy map of plantings to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
