Letchworth Garden Shed opens to the community

Letchworth Garden Shed has opened its doors to the community. Residents can borrow equipment from its ‘library of things’ to help them complete a project without spending money on things that they would only need once. More than 250 items are available to borrow, including ladders, planers, angle grinders, cake tins, bread makers, baby care equipment, lawnmowers, and pet crates.

We welcome this exciting new community project. This is a great example of a project that helps the community directly and at the same time helps us live more sustainably by encouraging the sharing of resources and so reducing our environmental impact.

You can get involved by donating equipment, volunteering to help, or by joining as a borrower for a small fee. More details at  https://www.letchworthgardenshed.com/  and in The Comet.
